I am the Records Technician for our Oak Park Office. I take all the pictures, scans, and x-rays for our new patients, as well as help make sure all our instruments are properly sterilized.
On a daily basis you can find me greeting new patients; explaining the process of taking the pictures, x-rays and scans to prepare our New Patient for that first Consultation visit.
Talking with the patients is one of my favorite things. I am excited to be working with such an amazing team of wonderful people.
When not at work, I love spending time with my husband and our 3 daughters.
The opportunity to join Battistoni and Beam Orthodontics has become my journey to come home. I grew-up in the La Grange area and my family are parishioners of St. John of the Cross in Western Springs. I attended grade school at St. Johns and continued on to Nazareth Academy in La Grange Park for high school where I had an opportunity to excel in not only academics but also athletics, as captain of the varsity football team. While at Nazareth, Dr. Rick Battistoni took me under his wing and began the long process of mentoring me as I piqued an interest in the field of dentistry, and more specifically, orthodontics.
I attended University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) where I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry, with a pre-dental focus. During my undergraduate career, I also had an “uplifting” experience lettering as a Big Ten varsity athlete which provided me with the opportunity to participate in the 2008 Rose Bowl game…as a member of the co-ed Fighting Illini Cheerleading team. I continued on to a Masters of Science (MS) in Biology at UIUC where I taught an undergraduate Biology course and performed research in a genetics laboratory.
My career aspirations started becoming a reality when I enrolled at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry (UIC). As a senior, I took Dr. Battistoni’s mentor advice to heart when I qualified for the UIC orthodontic honors program and began working as an orthodontic research assistant. From that point forward my career goals became focused on specializing in orthodontics.
In the spring of 2013, I graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UIC and was accepted into the UIC Department of Orthodontics residency that fall. Upon completion of the UIC Orthodontic program, I received a MS in Oral Sciences and became American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) eligible with the successful completion of the written ABO exam. I enjoy being an active member of several dental organizations, including our local West-Side Branch of the Chicago Dental Society, the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, the Windy City Seminars (an affiliate of the Seattle Study Club), and the Arcolian Dental Society.
In June 2016, I was given an opportunity to practice in a state-of-the-art office in my ideal location – my hometown of La Grange and the nearby Oak Park. It is a unique experience to work with three doctors in one office, allowing us to formulate custom treatment plans based on multiple opinions. The wonderful staff at Battistoni and Beam want you to feel like you are at home with family and friends. I am excited to finally to be home and we look forward for you to come experience the difference with us!
Hello, I am one of four Scheduling/front desk coordinators. I love working alongside a group of skilled team members. I can be found greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting patients with any questions or concerns they may have. Each day I have the chance to create new relationships with patients and their families and that is something I cherish about my job. My favorite things to do outside of work are traveling and trying new restaurants!
I have been with Battistoni and Beam Orthodontics since 2015. I am one of the scheduling/front desk coordinators, who work with you to schedule your appointments. Hi! My name is Karina Reyes. I became a member of the Battistoni and Beam family in August of 2016. I’ve been a chair side orthodontic assistant for more than 10 years. I love to welcome every patient to the office with a smile. I became interested in a career in Orthodontic when I was patient many years ago. It brings me excitement to see patients start treatment with us. We know what they are expecting and I am proud they trust us to transform their smiles. I choose a career I love, so I feel I never really work I just do something I love every day in my life. My favorite thing to do when I’m not in the office is spend time with my husband and dog. We like to take family trips and enjoy outdoor activities.
It is a pleasure to meet you and your family! I have been in the dental field for more than 15 years, assisting in general dentistry, implantology, and orthodontics. I was a patient of Drs. Battistoni and Beam myself! I love what I do and what I see, especially what a great smile does for each and every patient— whether it’s a child, teen or adult. I see their confidence and spirit shine through with a smile, and it is a wonderful thing to witness.
I have been with the office since 1994, first as a patient then a few years later as a team member! I take patient photos and X-rays, so we know the best treatment to achieve maximum health and the most beautiful smile for each patient. I also make retainers and other appliances to help with treatment. I enjoy working hard to make sure our patients receive the best service available and have great pride for the work done here. Getting to know our patients’ personalities and experience their growth and increase in self-esteem as treatment progresses gives me a sense of fulfillment.
I have 17 years of experience in the Orthodontic Field! I love working with patients and seeing the before & after for each case. I enjoy working side by side with the Doctors and other assistants! There is always new advancements and technology in the field and I always look forward to learning and growing in our office.
I began working with Drs. Battistoni and Beam in 2013 as a part time records and sterilization technician. I moved to the scheduling/front desk coordinator about a year later and now I am a clinical assistant and love every minute of it! I love working with our patients and seeing the smile on their faces every day! I am a mother to two beautiful children who keep me on my toes!
